Happy New Year 2021!

All the signs are there, but could 2021 really be that different from 2020?

First of all, I just wanted to wish all my readers and contributors a very Happy New Year. I hope you and your families have a fantastic year and hopefully 2020 will soon be a distant memory.

Alicia Keys is brilliant. Who knew?

Recently, I’ve been under the impression we’d coast over into 2021 with the same old, same old. But this year the usual London firework display went up a notch or ten, as we were treated to a firework/drone display of epic proportions, taking us on an emotional rewind of 2020’s great and good. The usual fizz was replaced with a warming Baileys, and the past car-crashes of Gary Barlow and Craig David were upgraded to the gloriously slick Alicia Keys band, who, rather than thrash out a mediocre version of Auld Lang Syne actually played ‘good music’ as well as some songs I actually like. First-class entertainment to see in the New Year.

My new Google My Business presence.

As for the Blogging Musician? Last year was our most successful year, so this year I’m building on that momentum by setting up a Google My Business presence which I hope will give the blog even better exposure. Could I please ask you to send in a review as this will help out greatly in the early stages? Here’s the link:

Keeping it Simple.

2020 was tough so I’m on a mission to calm things down this year by keeping it simple. There’ll be no tampering with themes or setting myself arbitrary post targets, it’s going to be all about posting quality content and working on SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), to ensure I maximise my audience potential and build organic traction. Of course, the focus will remain on Guitar, Music, and Travel (in that order), but perhaps with more of a swing towards Guitar, which takes the lion’s share of our traffic. That could easily change however as I never know which direction this crazy roller coaster will take me next!

It’s also high time I set about the polished edit of Goa: A Lesson In Life.

Here’s to a fantastic 2021 everyone!

Cheers!

Adam
