Why do I need to invest in a Quality Leather Guitar Strap from StrapGraphics?

For many years, I’ve made do with a cheap nylon strap, and the constant readjustment as it slid over my shoulder has become part and parcel of playing. Truth be told, a quality leather strap was always something on my radar, but I always made do with what I had… until now!

Here’s what a quality leather guitar strap gives you:

Shoulder comfort.

A wide strap (in my case, the StrapGraphics 3.5″ model) means there’s nothing to dig into your shoulder, and because the StrapGraphics 5mm thickness isn’t excessive, it’s as comfortable as a soft cushion.

The cure for neck dive.

A quality, wide leather guitar strap cures the problem of neck dive by providing much more stability. Even with notoriously neck-heavy guitars (The Gibson SG, for example), it stays put. Do you really want to be re-adjusting your guitar between every song? As I said earlier, I’d gotten used to it, but really, I could’ve saved myself the hassle a long time ago!

The ultimate playing experience.

Put the above two things together, and the fact that a wide, leather strap can cope with heavier Les Paul-type guitars with ease, and the result is stability, comfort and zero re-adjustment. All in all, it’s just a far superior way of ‘wearing’ your guitar, and this translates into fewer things to think about and more time to focus on playing.

The less tangible extras?

First of all, owning the finest quality leather guitar strap is a pleasure in itself. They look and feel amazing, and who doesn’t want to have a bit of pride in their guitar and their playing?  And then of course there is the unique StrapGraphics personalised custom artwork, which takes things up a notch and provides some handy free advertising for my band when I can’t be bothered to dig out my ZX80s t-shirt!

It’s probably worth mentioning that my design was on the conservative side. That’s just me, be with StrapGraphic, your only limit is your imagination!

Final Thoughts: StrapGraphics Guitar Strap Review

The 3.5″ width and 0.5mm thickness are the perfect combination for me, as other high-end leather strap manufacturers’ products are very unwieldy, both on the shoulder and also for storage. Mobility is often seen as the trade-off for stability, but again, StrapGraphics seems to offer the best of both worlds: Wide enough to be stable but with a thickness that doesn’t impair your playing.

I am over the moon with my band logo front and centre, and also the ease and speed at which it all came together. The perfect guitar strap, and one I’ve already become very attached to, which is more than you can say for my last strap. Just look at it!
