Covid Diary: Just wear a mask

Covid Diary. The Blogging Musician @ adamharkus.com

Just like Brexit many moons ago, we’ve been bombarded with information, disinformation, and contradicting beliefs. Somewhere in the middle, there’s a truth to all this, but does it matter who’s right?

We could argue till we’re blue in the face. Some just don’t believe we need restrictions or lockdowns. It’s just another type of flu, isn’t it? For me, I saw what the first wave did to the Diamond Princess and the pressure it put our NHS.

So just wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands.

I see the figures, yes the death rate is low at the moment, indeed the death rate was grossly exaggerated the first time around. But as the cases rise again, are we really going to play Russian roulette with public health? Nobody has all the answers yet.

So just wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands.

I think it’s fair to say we can’t predict the future of this pandemic, besides, are the restrictions really affecting you that much? Is wearing a mask and keeping your distance really that much bother? I’m one of the lucky ones working from home so that’s not an issue, but for everyone else, what are you really missing out on? Wouldn’t it be a lot safer to just follow the rules anyway? If you’re right about this being a storm in a teacup that’s great, you’ve lost nothing, but if you’re wrong how will you feel?

So just wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands.

So, let’s not argue like we did on something as insignificant as whether or not we’re part the EU. That was silly. This is serious, life or death, and it’s really easy to solve.

So just wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands.
