As you already know, The Blogging Musician has always focussed on musical instrument reviews, guitar gear reviews in particular. Donner Music, as a newer company, has crept under the radar until now, bursting onto the scene with affordable instruments and effects pedals of remarkable quality.
What I love most about this company is its fresh approach to music-making and performing. It’s about encouraging everyone, not necessarily beginners, to just get out there; play, perform & produce, which they’re enabling with solid-looking, quality instruments and effects at alarmingly attractive price points. We’ve really never had it so good, largely thanks to companies like Donner Music.
Donner Dumbal Drive Analog Overdrive
My own particular journey with Donner Music will begin very shortly with the usual very in-depth and probably over-emotional/dramatic review of not just any old overdrive pedal. The Donner Dumbal Drive Analog Overdrive pedal is something different from the usual in-your-face crowd of foot-switchable filth. It’s a little more subtle with a lot more class. It immediately feels special. That’s all I’ll say for now, but it’s amazing, so watch this space.
