The Blogging Musician needs YOU!

Attention all friends, readers, partners, and contributors. The Blogging Musician needs YOU!

What’s this all about then?

Well, I’ve set an early goal for 2023 to build up my YouTube channel and gain entry into the YouTube Partner programme

… and to do that, I need:

  • 1000 subscribers
  • 4000 watch hours per year

YouTube channel?

I’ve been slowly building up content over the last few years. There’s original music, live performances, guitar lessons/tips (many direct from the garden shed!), and lately, some pretty in-depth guitar gear reviews that compliment the usual written reviews quite nicely.

Having said all that, I’ll always focus on the writing/blogging side. I love it and it feels more natural, but it doesn’t cover all the bases all of the time, so the YouTube channel allows me to do stuff I can’t really do directly on the blog.

Here are a couple of videos I’ve uploaded this week. First a review of the Marshall DSL1CR (great little practice/recording amp).

And also, some tips on a floating trem setup for a Strat.

The current state of play?

Over 30 videos now with just over 200 subscribers. A long way to go perhaps, but I’m hoping you could help me.

So please do check out the channel. Subscribe, watch, like, comment, or whatever takes your fancy. Ultimately, I’d love the YouTube channel to feature on the blog much more frequently, with video reviews greatly enhancing written gear reviews for example. I really would appreciate a helping hand toward that place.

The easiest way is to check out the video(s) above and go from there. Don’t forget to click that bell!

Thank you!
